Briefly, the Hindu and Orthodox Christianity function of the Guru is the presence of viable interactive access to Grace. They are as alive as you or I, and are models for understanding how Christ operates and operated for those who had the pleasure on knowing him in the flesh. They are sin eaters, karma eaters, consummate teachers and jam clearers. I have known Maharaji since I was 15, never looked back and have felt nothing but and ever growing relationship of love. He would say if you want to know God, feed people, serve people, love people. It was never sit on ass.

I have only recently met Amma after many years of wishing to do so. I originally was to be accompanied by my wife, but do to a kitten rescue (2 weeks old) she had to stay home, so I went along. Amma hugs. She is the Divine Mother in human forms who has hugged to date an estimated 34 million people all over the world.
My hug brought about a sea change in my perception and changed me in ways I cannot account for. Things are lighter, clearer, cleaner.
Go see her, she visited 56 cities last year, and its free. Oh, she's also built universities, hospitals, 2,500 homes, taught thousands of women trades and on and on. Just what you'd expect of divinity on earth.
